About me
Kishin Daiko was founded in 1981 at the East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center (ESGVJCC). For over 40 years, Kishin Daiko has worked to live up to its name which translates to energy, spirit, and heart, by entertaining and educating audiences through its performances, classes, and workshops. The group performs a wide range of repertoire which includes a mix of traditional taiko pieces, adaptations of traditional Japanese taiko pieces, as well as original compositions of contemporary artists and Kishin members.
